Opening of the Green

The official opening of the green on Saturday 22nd April 2000. The day begins with a Coffee Morning between 10am - 12pm, the Ladies are responsible for running this venture. The proceedings were approximately £270, thanks to all who attended.

In the afternoon the first jack is 'thrown', this has always been the honour of a Lady from the club usually the Lady President, this year Mrs Shirley Brown had the privilege. On looking was Mr Thomson Mason as well as the other members of the club.

If the weather permits, a Hat Match is played after the official opening, this is the first chance that members, old and new, get to practice for the new season.
