News From 2003 Opening of the Green

The official opening of the green on Saturday 19th April 2003. The day began with a Coffee Morning between 10am - 12pm.

. The proceedings were approximately £410, thanks to all who attended.

In the afternoon the first jack is 'thrown', this has always been the honour of a Lady from the club usually the Lady President.

This year Mrs Elaine Firth had the privilege. On looking was President Frank Brown along with a large turnout of members.

A Hat Match was played after the official opening, 32 members took part.

This is the first chance that members, old and new, get to practice for the new season.
